Vlad Ivanov reveals truths and myths about film and theatre. Come to the Q&A!

By Uncategorized No Comments
If you have any existential dilemmas on theatre and film, actors and people from the industry, now is the time to get answers from specialists in the field.

The InLight School launches Scenic Truth, a series of Q&As dedicated to the general audience. Specialists in theatre and cinema will meet theatre and film lovers, once a month, atUnTeatru (Sfinții Apostoli no.44, Sector 5, Bucharest).

The events are organised by the InLight theatre and film acting school. They have been thought out as casual, meaningful discussions approaching truths and myths about film and theatre. Each session will be about two hours long, and participants will be able to establish a dialogue with the guests. If you are the shy type, you can also send questions via InLight’s official Facebook page. A few of them wil be selected for the Q&A.

The guest of our first Scenic Truth session is Vlad Ivanov. Probably Romania’s most well-known actor, in the country and abroad, Vlad Ivanov will be present on March 25th at the event held by InLight in UnTeatru, starting at 20:00, for a casual discussion on truth and myth in film and theatre.

“The great actor and professor Dem Rădulescu had his little saying laden with intelligent humour: Oh dear, the things you learn around town! So, on the evening of March 25th, let’s get out on the town and learn something new about theatre, film and, not least, about ourselves, in an open, friendly conversation. Because you can never be too sure who is the giver and who is the receiver,” states Vlad Ivanov.

More details on access and tickets at 0743.679.062 or on the event’s Facebook page.

By Uncategorized No Comments

Robi Urs is Romania’s first non-professional actor to be accepted in a select programme dedicated to film professionals, within the famous Berlin International Film Festival.

Robi Urs is a Romanian non-professional actor who, despite his lack of higher studies in acting, can already boast numerous successes in the field. Robi graduated from the InLight acting course and, over the last six years, has had the chance to work – among other projects – with director Adrian Sitaru for Illegitimate, the feature selected for the Berlin International Film Festival in 2016, where it received the CICAE (International Confederation of Art Cinemas) Award. This year, Robi was chosen for Berlinale Talents from among over 3.400 applicants in 130 countries. In brief, Berlinale Talents is the most important programme for filmmakers, an intensive work platform including six days of meetings, creative workshops, conferences and informal visits as part of the Berlin International Film Festival. Established in 2003, Berlinale Talents has brought its participants before important names of world cinema. Meryl Streep, Willem Dafoe, Juliette Binoche or Gus Van Sant are only a few of the personalities who have come to share their experience. Each year, 250 directors, actors, scriptwriters, producers, editors, directors of photography, film critics or distributers are selected from among the applicants. Robi Urs was selected in the Acting category, becoming Romania’s first non-professional actor taking part in the most prestigious programme in the field.
